Doctor Doctor My House Needs You

I was happily whiling away a spare hour or two the other week, waiting for a particular show to start when my eye caught an episode of an old home make over programme from many years ago.  In fact, the very first of it’s type to hit British tv.  At the time we took it all quite seriously – an american tv presenter was over here helping folk who’d had problems selling their properties.   During the first part of the programme we are delighted to view and discover exactly why . . . .   As with all these shows, it was truly formulaic but this was a brand new concept then.  We then watched as Madame got down to tackling the endless list of wrongs and showed them and us her version of rights.   She then set about getting the property rejigged and decorated in neutral palette that could not offend.  By the end of the show, the house had sold for a lot more than first anticipated and we then hear comments of the original house viewers who come back to see the finished result.  Fascinating stuff!
