Jogging Along Property Memory Lane

Recently on tv, there has been a need for companies to repeat and reimagine old programmes by the hundred as lockdown has meant no new shows can be filmed.  One of my favourites currently are a series of compilations of the show where folk up sticks and escape to the rarified countryside – usually from quite built up and busy homes.  Instead of just repeating each show, the directors have carefully decided to concentrate on a short periof of the last five years with specific themes.    May absolute favourite so far has been the historic one, highlighting several of the oldest properties they’ve featured.   It was an absolute joy to look round these stunning old places that still have some of the origins of building available.  Admittedly all the the kitchens bar one have been either ripped out or just new ones built on, for there are still some truly amazing historic buildings out there – we just can’t normally have access to them!
